Webpublishing in Open Participatory Environments

TESOL Teacher Education IS

Syllabus

Description

Blogs, podcasts and social networking tools are a convenient and highly accessible medium for multimedia web publishing and networking. They allow learners to create their own content and build their identity online through interactive spaces through which they can engage in reflection, open and participatory multi-mode self-expression with peers and experts beyond classroom walls.

Target Audience and Objectives

This is an advanced level workshop for teachers who have already experimented with blogs and podcasts either for their own use or with classes and who would like to extend their technical and pedagogical knowledge of these social tools, RSS and tagging to help learners interact with the web at large and create networks according to their own interests.

Before enrolling, you will be asked to fill in a survey. We will then invite you to join the group or redirect you to Blogging for Beginners or BAW07.
